Ford putting ideology over evidence with CTS ban: Stiles

QUEEN'S PARK - Marit Stiles, Ontario NDP leader, raised concerns as new evidence shows that Doug Ford issued a ban on Consumption and Treatment Service sites (CTS) against the advice of his own experts to keep them open:

“People deserve a government that uses every tool they have to take on the addictions crisis, and that bases that support on evidence, not ideology.

The Ford government’s own reviews tell a very different story from the one they have been telling to justify this dangerous shift in policy. To take away these services in the midst of a crisis is going to cost lives."
